I’m Lynda Marecic-Leckie, Private Educator & Literacy Specialist
At my heart, I am an educator. Before founding I Love Learning, I enjoyed a 20 year career as an Elementary Teacher, Special Educator, and Disability Advocate. While I absolutely adored my work, I noticed that many children were struggling to learn to read. This led to me pursuing my Dyslexia Practitioner Certification and Orton-Gillingham Training and establishing I Love Learning as a private education practice in 2019.
Over the past 5 years, I have helped over 150 children discover the “secret code” to reading, spelling, and writing. I look forward to becoming your partner in all things education and literacy!
Education & Training
I hold a Structured Literacy Dyslexia Interventionist certification through the Center for Effective Reading Instruction (CERI) and the International Dyslexia Association (IDA).
I received my Dyslexia Practitioner Certification from the University of Florida.
I’ve obtained Orton Gillingham training through the Orton-Gillingham Online Academy.
I have an Elementary Education Certification, a Master’s in Special Education, and a Reading Specialist Certification.
I’ve held teaching certifications in Pennsylvania, New Jersey, Florida, Ontario, and now in Missouri.
Meet My Family
The support of my husband Andrew and our fur babies, Charlie and Charlotte, makes everything I do possible. As a family, we have moved a bit in the last few years from Pittsburgh to Toronto to New Jersey to Florida, and now making our home just outside of St. Louis.
We also enjoy trips to visit our families in both Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania and Melbourne, Australia, love going to concerts and movies, and of course long dog walks at local parks!
